Fundraising / Events - 2010

The following is a list of the fundraising projects we are currently launching for the 2009 season:

SJR Youth Tournament!!

Manny and Eric already have the following teams signed up for the 2010 tournament:

* Saddle Brook

* Wayne PAL (2 Teams)

* Wyckoff

* Waldwick (2 teams)

* Orangetown

* Norseman

* Jefferson

* Lenape Valley

* Pascack Valley

* Clifton

* Ringwood/Lakeland

* Glen Rock

* River Dell

* Mahwah

Youth Lacrosse Tournament

Purpose: To expose local youth lacrosse players to SJR, and SJR Lacrosse

Fundraising Goal: $4000

Fundraising Participants: Players and families with food concession

Format:

- On Saturday (Date TBD), we would host a one day youth lacrosse tournament at SJR with local 8th grade, 7th grade teams.

- 8 teams total.

- Each team would play a minimum of 3 abbreviated games.

- Games would be played from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

- Entrance fees per team would be $185, and cover the costs of referees.

- We would run the concession stand.

- This is an annual event to let players know we are here, and play great lacrosse at SJR.

Lacrosse Journal

We also will be doing a Lacrosse Journal of season memories for the boys. President, Brian Martinotti will spearhead this activity and the journals will be distributed at the season ending party. In order to cover the cost of the journal we would like to raise a minimum of $1000. We are looking for all families to purchase at least 1/2 of a page an to solicit adds. Half-page adds. Brian sent the info out at the Feb. 3rd meeting. Forms are due back on 3/15 !!!

Bagel And Drink Sponsors:

As you know, we have provided the boys with bagels and drinks for all away games. This year, parents will have the opportunity to "sponsor" this activity. The sponsorship fee is $75 per away game. Please inform Brian if you can sponsor.

ITEMS OF NOTE

1) Captain's Practice: - Tuesdays and Thursdays after school

2)Listen to school announcement for the time and location of the 1st team meeting being held by Coaches. All players MUST be in attendance

3)First practice Kicks Off March 5th. There will be tryouts and all Players are expected to come to the practices in shape.
